Our Story

After sharing her personal story of physical and psychological abuse within the Troubled Teen Industry in This is Paris, Paris discovered that her voice could have new, immeasurable impact. Paris’ participation in grassroots advocacy efforts to reform youth treatment facilities has led to the passage of 5 state laws, the introduction of a bipartisan federal bill titled The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, a federal investigation, mass media attention on the issue, a novel mental health service for survivors, and an award-winning podcast Trapped in Treatment from 11:11 Media, Warner Bros. Unscripted TV in Association With Telepictures, and iHeart Media.

Paris founded 11:11 Media Impact, the charitable arm of her media company, to ensure impact continues to be integrated into her work. Through a powerful combination of philanthropy, strategic advocacy, and thought-provoking storytelling, 11:11 Media Impact supports children and women harmed by America’s child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and healthcare systems, providing resources and education to ensure they become the Nation’s future leaders. 11:11 Media Impact prioritizes incorporating the expertise, perspectives, and experiences of the people whose lives have been directly impacted by institutional settings.

In the past year and a half, 11:11 Media Impact has made a lasting positive impact through policy change, protecting hundreds of thousands of children and we are poised to help millions more. Our nations youth are depending on us…and you.
